It's 2016 and as with many digital product, more and more valuable game data is being collected and becoming available for sharing with the users. Two reasons - it can affect users' betting decisions, and provides a more immersive betting experience.
More data means more things to be displayed on an already small and crowded screen. Many digital products have been damaged by adding too much irrelevant information, wrongly considered to be valuable, but instead it only hampers the users' process and adds clutter and complexity.
It was essential to design the new Simulation and Stats in a way that doesn't compromise the experience, quite the contrary - to enhance the experience and add value.
The tennis court was designed to be a statistical tool, rather than a realistic tennis field. Through multiple prototyping and testing we created an intuitive and pleasant experience for the tennis betters. The new features were received very well and according to many, made bwin's tennis betting one of the best experiences on the market.
Following its success, the tennis simulation and live stats were later implement on Mobile web and on Desktop.
Even if the bwin sports app was later redesigned, the Tennis simulation is still available on both the app and on Web.
In addition, the US casino giant MGM also entered the online sports betting market with a white label of bwin's product, so as of 2022, the same Tennis simulation and stats are in use on BetMGM's sports betting platforms.
